Antwerp: Day 4
Today we went on a magnificent adventure outside of Antwerp. We took a two hour bus ride north east to the seaside town of Oostend, home to the Mu.ZEE Romestraat and one of the stops on a multi-town art installation called Beaufort04. This installation consists of a group of artists who have built art pieces and installed them in various seaside towns along the 64 kilometer stretch of North Sea seashore of Belgium. We all hopped on a tram and took a twenty minute ride north to one of the sculptures, a beautiful horn that magnifies the sounds of the ocean when you listen through it.
After exploring the windy beach front we walked up the boardwalk past all of these adorable little beach houses and towards the next installation. I was so charmed by these little seaside towns and how lovely it was to be back in nature and out of the big city. It was amazing to soak up the nature and the clean, fresh air.
